Sellicks, farmed by Dave Gartelman, owned by Jim Zerella.
Rich red clay interspersed with shale and schist. Destemmed, fermented to dry on skins then pressed to tank and barrel. Pressings of both Lilies and Wood vineyard grenache are added at blending pre bottling. Bright raspberry and arneis. Long persistent acid drive sitting inside a fleshy mouthful of red berry fruit.

2023 Why Try So Hard
Carbonic macerated Arneis (45%) from Zerella in Peter's creek, Carbonic grenache (35%) from Zerella in Sellicks, chenin pressings (20%) from Lulu in Blewitt springs.
Guava in colour, tropical aromatics mixed with red fruits and spice. Some structure on the pallet from the arneis (think juicy orange wine style). yum.
